Carmen is a Senior Conveyancer in McCarthy Durie’s Conveyancing team, based in Cleveland.
Carmen started her journey in property law in an administrative role in 2005. A year later, she undertook conveyancing training, and has worked in the field ever since.
With over 10 years’ experience, Carmen has grown to specialise in off-the-plan development work. This includes put-and-call options for both the buy-in prior to subdivision and on-selling new lots to builders.

Carmen is a self-professed ‘volunteer junky’, having volunteered for many organisations over the years, including Apex, Radio Lollipop (i.e. Mater Children’s Hospital Brisbane), Beagle Rescue Queensland, GC2018 Commonwealth Games, and more.
She has also fostered dogs for Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute Rescue Queensland, adding that each dog has “left a paw print” on her heart.
