Miriam Sadler is a Senior Associate in the Property and Commercial team at our Brisbane office.

Miriam was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2015, having attained a Bachelor of Laws (Second Class (Division A) Honours) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, both from QUT. She began her legal career as a chambers and research clerk to a Brisbane-based barrister, gaining valuable exposure to legal fields including insolvency, family, and criminal law in both State and Federal jurisdictions. However, she has always maintained a strong interest in property transactions.

Since transitioning to property and commercial law in 2016, Miriam has built extensive expertise in:

• Commercial and retail shop leasing;
• Business sales and acquisitions, including the sale of business assets and share sale agreements;
• Advising on and acting in put and call option agreements and large-scale development transactions;
• Off-the-plan sales and purchases, including rural property transactions.

In 2018, Miriam was privileged to prepare and deliver a LegalWise presentation on the principles and potential pitfalls of lease assignments as part of a CPD training program. She is also passionate about her research interests, which include charity law and Indigenous legal issues.
